Carlisle Remembrance Run

Join us for the Carlisle Remembrance Run, a meaningful 5K community event held in Carlisle on Saturday 8th November 2025, in support of the Royal British Legion. Taking place the day before Remembrance Sunday, this is an opportunity to come together in unity to honour and remember those who have fallen, served – and continue to serve—in the Armed Forces.

The Royal British Legion offers life-changing support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families.

“The Royal British Legion uses public donations to provide expert advice and guidance, support recovery and rehabilitation, offer financial assistance, and combat loneliness and isolation among the Armed Forces community.”

How You Can Help

We are aiming for 100% of all entry fees (excluding the price of your medal) to go directly to the Royal British Legion, and to achieve this, we are looking for support from local businesses. If you, your business, or someone you know could sponsor the event or donate goods and services (e.g. water, signage, safety equipment), please get in touch at info@Sportinaction.co.uk.

If you’re unable to run but still want to be involved, we’re always looking for volunteers to marshal the event. Please email us your Name, Mobile Number, and Email Address to sign up.

A Day to Remember

  • This is a non-competitive event—there are no winners’ prizes because the Royal British Legion is the true winner.

  • All finishers will receive a commemorative medal to display with pride.

  • The 5K will begin 60 minutes before the 2K Fun Run/Walk, allowing 5K participants the opportunity to also walk or run the 2K alongside friends and family at no extra cost.

  • The focus is on remembrance, togetherness, and community spirit—whatever the weather.

Run to remember. Run to support. Run with pride.
All proceeds. All purpose. All for the Royal British Legion.
